Job summary

Dow Inc. in Houston or Midland seeks a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will drive backups, HA/DR, and lifecycle tasks while aligning with IT strategy.

Collaborating with IT leaders and enterprise teams, you will ensure secure, cost-effective data services, manage change and incident tickets, and support licensing/audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional database-related work experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders and Enterprise Architecture to roadmap database technologies.
• Design/implement backup, HA, DR strategies and handle installations, patches, upgrades.
• Partner with Managed Services to deliver tasks on time and meet SLAs.
