Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions in Midland, MI or Houston, TX. The role focuses on SQL Server, Oracle, and modern databases across on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments.

You will collaborate with IT leaders to roadmap technologies, implement backup, HA/DR, and manage licensing and audits while driving cost efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian PO2/Sergeant, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture to maintain a database tech roadmap.
• Design and implement backup/recovery, HA, DR, and ongoing patching and upgrades.
• Partner with Database Managed Services to ensure timely delivery and SLA adherence.
• Maintain database inventory and licensing needs; support audits as required.
