Job summary

Dow Inc. is hiring a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions in Midland, MI or Houston, TX.

The role focuses on on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments, designing backup, high availability, disaster recovery and daily duties like installation, patching and upgrades. You will partner with the Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture to develop roadmaps, manage licensing, audits, and ensure SQL Server, Oracle and cloud databases meet Dow’s standards while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military equivalent at or above a US E5 ranking or 8 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow.
• Research, analyze and implement RDBMS technologies for on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture to develop technology roadmaps.
• Design and implement backup/recovery, HA and DR solutions.
• Ensure change, incident and problem tickets are handled per SLAs.
