Job summary

Dow is seeking a Database Service Manager to lead database platform solutions across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments. You will architect and implement high availability, backup, and disaster recovery, while coordinating with IT leadership, Enterprise Architecture, and Managed Services to lower total cost of ownership.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in the field, a bachelor’s or equivalent experience, and strong SQL Server/Oracle expertise with cloud experience, particularly Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience at or above US E5 ranking or Canadian PO2/Sgt, or 8 years experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• US work eligibility; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Architect, Design and Implement database solutions for backup/recovery, HA, DR and day-to-day activities.
• Collaborate with IT leaders and EA teams to develop and maintain database tech roadmaps.
• Ensure changes, incidents and problems are handled per SLAs and align with Dow standards.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to deliver optimal database solutions and operations.
• Maintain Dow’s database inventory and address licensing needs; support audits as needed.
