Job summary

Dow is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes collaboration with IT leaders, enterprise architecture, and managed services to deliver secure, scalable database services with efficient change control and audits.

The position requires a strong background in SQL Server, Oracle, cloud databases, and modern backup/recovery practices, along with the ability to navigate complex licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military equivalent; US E5 or Canadian Rank or 8+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture to develop and maintain database technologies roadmap.
• Architect, design and implement backup/recovery, HA and DR strategies; manage installations, patching and upgrades.
• Partner with Database Managed Services to ensure timely delivery of solutions and operational tasks.
• Manage Change, Incident and Problem tickets per SLAs and ensure compliance with Dow’s standards.
