Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role requires collaboration with IT leaders to drive roadmaps, oversee backups, HA/DR, and secure operations while partnering with Managed Services.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in related roles, strong SQL Server/Oracle experience, cloud familiarity (Azure), and US work authorization. Relocation support is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience at US E5 level or Canadian equivalent or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders to develop and maintain database technologies roadmap.
• Design and implement backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to ensure timely delivery of DB services and SLA compliance.
• Ensure changes, incidents and problems are managed per Dow standards and security requirements.
• Maintain database inventory and manage licensing needs; support audits and vendor proposals.
• Leverage AI tools to automate database activities while maintaining security and performance.
