Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role partners with IT leadership to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient database services and licensing management.

You will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud and Platform teams to drive roadmaps, optimize performance, and automate routine tasks using modern AI tools. Relocation is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above US E5 or Canadian rank, or 8 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional database experience.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders and EA teams to roadmap database technologies.
• Design and implement backup, HA, DR, and lifecycle tasks.
• Coordinate with Managed Services for daily operations and SLAs.
• Manage change, incident and problem tasks with timely resolutions.
• Maintain Dow’s database inventory and licensing needs; support audits.
• Assist IT leadership in evaluating new solutions and vendor proposals.
• Leverage AI tools to automate database activities while ensuring security and performance.
