Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager, based in Midland, TX or Houston, TX, to architect and lead Dow's database platform solutions. You will drive design, backup and recovery, DR/HA, and upgrades while coordinating with MSPs and internal teams to meet SLAs and optimize TCO.

The role requires deep SQL Server and Oracle experience, cloud familiarity (Azure preferred), and strong collaboration with IT leadership to roadmap database technologies across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above US E5 or Canadian rank.
• Minimum 5 years in a closely related field.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow.
• Research, analyze, and implement RDBMS and other database technologies for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
