Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions from Midland, MI or Houston, TX. You will collaborate with IT leaders to set roadmaps, manage backup/HA/DR, and ensure timely delivery through Managed Services, while meeting Dow standards and cost goals.

The role requires strong SQL Server/Oracle experience, cloud exposure, and excellent communications and troubleshooting skills. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS.
Experience with on-premise, cloud and hybrid database environments.
Exposure to Azure Cloud database platforms and modern databases.

Responsibilities

Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow.
Collaborate with IT leaders to develop and maintain database roadmaps.
Design and implement backup, HA, DR and routine maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with Managed Services to deliver daily operations.
Ensure changes, incidents and problems meet SLAs.
Work with Cloud and On-prem teams to meet Dow standards at low TCO.
