Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions in Midland, MI or Houston, TX. You will work with IT leadership and Enterprise Architecture to align data services with Dow’s standards and cost goals.

The role covers on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments with a focus on backup, high availability, disaster recovery, and efficient operations. Dow provides a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military equivalent, plus 8 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 5 years in a related field.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement database solutions including backup/recovery, HA and DR.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, Enterprise Architecture to develop database technology roadmaps.
• Partner with Managed Services to ensure timely delivery of database solutions and IT operations.
• Ensure change, incident and problem management tickets meet SLAs.
• Maintain Dow's database inventory and licensing needs.
• Audit readiness and collaboration with cross-functional teams for security and governance.
