Dow is hiring a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments in Midland, MI or Houston, TX. The role focuses on design, implementation, and governance of SQL Server, Oracle and modern databases, with strong emphasis on backup, HA, DR and cost optimization.

You will collaborate with the Database IT Leader, Enterprise Architecture teams, and Managed Services to ensure SLAs are met and Dow standards are followed, while

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience at or above US E5 rank or Canadian PO2/Sergeant or 8 years of experience in lieu.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and lead database platform solutions for Dow across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with IT leaders and Enterprise Architecture to develop and maintain database technology roadmaps.
• Design and implement backup/recovery, high availability and disaster recovery solutions plus upgrades and patching.
• Partner with Database Managed Services to ensure timely, efficient delivery of operational tasks and SLAs.
• Maintain Dow’s database inventory and licensing; support internal/external audits as needed.
