Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will collaborate with IT leaders to develop roadmaps for SQL Server, Oracle, and modern databases, while maintaining inventory, licensing, and audit readiness.

The role requires strong backup/HA/DR design, SLA adherence, and security considerations. Relocation is not provided; located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX with US work eligibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience (U.S. E5 or Canadian equivalent) or 8 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement database solutions for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture to roadmap technologies.
• Maintain database inventory, licensing, and audits; ensure SLAs and security standards.
