Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager to execute the Vet Business Unit strategy and achieve KPIs by identifying clinic opportunities and leveraging sales data. This field-based role requires living within the territory and substantial travel.

The role includes cross-functional collaboration to grow clinic access and Vet recommendations across the assigned geography, reporting to the Line Manager and managing budget and CRM documentation. Philadelphia, PA is the focus area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and growing clinics within the geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address the needs of veterinary staff.
• Develops strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across BU & organization and balances needs of multiple internal/external stakeholders (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, Scientific Affairs).
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
• Effectively execute the Veterinary BU sales strategy.
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment in fluid, complex contexts.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies/tactics/investments as needed to maximize territory performance.
• Budget and reporting: manage expenses and sales budget; complete CRM call reports, expense reports and presentations promptly and accurately.
