Job summary

Mars is hiring a Veterinary District Sales Manager in Houston North/The Woodlands to drive the Vet BU strategy and achieve clinic-specific sales goals. This field-based role requires living in the territory and frequent travel to clinics and conferences.

The role emphasizes translating clinic data into opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers, and delivering compelling, data-driven presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, 20–30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customers, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic needs and growing clinics within geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within geography.
• Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations for Veterinary staff.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet shared objectives (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, Scientific Affairs).
• Build partnerships and work cross-functionally to meet objectives and execute BU strategy.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with the Line Manager and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expense and sales budgets and complete CRM/expense reports and presentations on time.
