Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager to drive the Vet BU strategy across a defined territory in the Fayetteville, NC region. The role focuses on translating clinic data into growth opportunities, building strong relationships with clinic decision-makers, and delivering persuasive, data-driven presentations.

The position is field-based; you must live within the territory and be prepared for overnight travel and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics within assigned geography.
Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address the needs of Veterinary staff.
Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy and work cross-functionally in a team-based environment.
Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
Manage budget and reporting; complete CRM and expense reports and presentations.
