Job summary

Amazon is seeking an HR Business Partner to provide HR generalist support to a large hourly population and business leaders at a Joliet facility. You will drive talent management, employee experience, and operational excellence while partnering with leaders to deliver strategic HR initiatives.

You may lead a team of entry-level HR employees and own projects that enhance the employee experience, balancing strategic and tactical responsibilities to improve workplace outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 2+ years of HR experience or equivalent experiences (e.g., operations, customer service, retail, distribution, shipping/logistics, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing).
• Experience supporting and/or leading employee-focused processes such as onboarding, benefits, investigations, training and/or talent management.

Responsibilities

• Improve site effectiveness by identifying systemic patterns, addressing root causes, and ensuring fair application of policies.
• Use data analytics to identify emerging trends, predict future challenges, and implement proactive solutions at the site level.
• Execute and monitor employee engagement strategies and recognition programs.
• Coach Business Leaders on effective people management practices and performance feedback.
• Partner with leaders to ensure equitable talent practices across selection, development, and advancement decisions.
• Drive adoption of HR technology solutions, AI, and self-service tools, ensuring high-touch service delivery.
