Job summary

KPMG is currently seeking an Audit Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team in the United States. You will assist in conducting financial statement audits, helping ensure accuracy and reliability of client information while upholding integrity and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing Accounting.
• Pursuing CPA licensure in the principal place of business.
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course is required at the time of application.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Coursework or minor in information systems, data analytics or similar is preferred; experience with Alteryx/Power BI is a plus.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Ability to use MS Office (Excel emphasized) and learn KPMG Audit tools.

• Work as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits and support capital markets with reliable client information.
• Learn to prepare clear, structured audit documentation and translate findings into insights.
• With guidance, test controls and account balances using appropriate standards and terminology.
• Support high-quality audit execution through assigned tasks and client engagement interactions.
• Support data-driven audit using tools like Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI.
