Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Audit Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team in Los Angeles. You will work as part of a team conducting financial statement audits, learn to prepare audit documentation, and support testing of controls.

This internship requires enrollment in accounting degree programs, CPA trajectory, completion of accounting coursework, GPA preference, and bilingual English/Korean; familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, SQL and Excel is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing accounting degrees.
• CPA licensure requirements must be pursued at principal office location.
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course required.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Bilingual in English and Korean for business environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial statement audits and assist capital markets ensuring accuracy and independence.
• Prepare clear audit documentation and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Execute and document testing of controls and account balances under guidance.
• Support data-driven audit using AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI.
• Collaborate with audit team and engage with clients to deliver high-quality service.
