Job summary

KPMG is seeking an Audit Intern in Los Angeles as part of the Audit and Assurance team. You will work with a team to conduct financial statement audits for clients, ensuring accuracy and independence while developing understanding of client-specific risks, primarily for Japanese or cross-border engagements.

You will gain exposure to AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI in a data-driven audit setting. The role requires enrollment in a degree program (Accounting or equivalent) and CPA licensure

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing accounting degrees.
• Pursuing CPA licensure in the principal place of business.
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course is required.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Bilingual in English and Japanese is required in a business environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting financial statement audits for clients to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Prepare clear audit documentation and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Execute and document testing of controls and balances under guidance.
• Support data-driven audits using AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI.
• Collaborate with engagement teams to deliver high-quality results.
