Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Audit Intern to join the Audit and Assurance team. You will work as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits, learn to document tests of client controls, and support data-driven audit activities using tools such as Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI.

The internship emphasizes learning, collaboration, and adherence to professional standards, with in-person work requirements and CPA licensure progression considerations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing accounting degrees
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course is required
• GP A 3.0+ preferred
• Information systems/data analytics coursework or minor preferred; Alteryx/Power BI experience beneficial
• GAAP knowledge and MS Office proficiency including Excel required

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting financial statement audits and ensure accuracy and independence
• Prepare audit documentation and translate findings into actionable insights
• Assist in testing client controls and account balances
• Support high-quality audits through assigned tasks and client interactions
• Contribute to data-driven audits using AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI
