Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Audit Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team. This hands-on, in-person role offers exposure to financial statement audits and capital markets, emphasizing accuracy and independence.

You will learn to test controls, document findings, and support high-quality audits using Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI, with collaborative teamwork and professional growth opportunities. Three days per week in office with travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university and pursuing accounting degrees (Bachelor/Master)
• Pursuing CPA licensure in the principal place of business state
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Alteryx or Power BI preferred

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits for clients
• Prepare audit documentation and translate findings into actionable insights
• Execute and document testing of client controls and account balances
• Support high-quality audit engagements and client interactions
• Utilize data analysis tools including Excel, Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI
