Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Audit Intern to join the Audit and Assurance team. You will work as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits, helping ensure the accuracy and reliability of client information.

You will learn to prepare audit documentation, test controls, and support high-quality work with data analytics using Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI. This in-person internship emphasizes collaboration, ethics and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in college pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Pursuing CPA licensure in the principal place of business.
• Completion of at least one accounting course required at application.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or above.
• Coursework in IS, software engineering, CS or data analytics preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, and able to learn KPMG tools.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to conduct financial statement audits.
• Prepare audit documentation and translate findings into insights.
• Test client controls and account balances under guidance.
• Support the execution of a high-quality audit through assigned tasks and client interactions.
