Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to support AWS GovCloud data center operations, including hardware diagnostics, repairs, and on-call rotation. The role involves traveling between data center sites and working in an industrial environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience or related IT work.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues to restore service availability.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers and contractors.
• Engage in on-call duties, maintenance, and change management activities; contribute to documentation and process improvements.
• Assist in interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
