Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain server hardware, networks, and related systems across AWS data centers. You will work to resolve incidents, install rack equipment, and support on-call rotations while coordinating with engineers, contractors, and vendors.

The role requires the ability to travel between data center sites, lift up to 40 pounds, and participate in 24/7 operations with flexible shifts. A relocation stipend is provided for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Willingness to work in a data center environment and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to incidents to maintain service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Performing on-call duties and participating in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assisting with interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
