Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain hardware and network integrity across AWS data centers.

You will perform server rack installations, hardware repairs, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure high availability of AWS services. The role requires on-call rotations, willingness to travel between data center sites, and collaboration with engineers, software teams, and vendors to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair).
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents affecting service availability.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders (engineers, developers, vendors, contractors).
• On-call duties and scheduled maintenance/change management activities.
