Job summary

Flexential Corp. is seeking a Data Center Technician II to provide physical and technical support in a fast-paced data center environment. You will handle audits, system documentation, and customer-facing tasks while maintaining security procedures and cabling standards.

You will work across Windows OS, network basics, and data center infrastructure, supporting 24x7 operations and collaborating with engineers and operations teams to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 24/7 production environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Proficient understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of basic networking (routing, subnets).
• Experience with building management systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, PDUs).
• Data center operations knowledge.
• 2–4 years in IT or data center support.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with cable standards 568A/B.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns standard auditing tasks and reports findings to stakeholders.
• Supports documentation, QA, and communication across systems (Power, OpsDB, ServiceNow).
• Escalates ServiceNow tickets and analyzes complex requests.
• Maintains customer relationships with prompt, professional responses via phone/email.
• Monitors and troubleshoots infrastructure issues and alarms.
• Manages access control, badge procedures, and security sign-in for customers.
• Tracks time spent on tasks and ensures accurate timesheets.
• Ensures cabling standards are followed and participates in maintenance tasks.
