Job summary

Flexential is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide 24x7x365 support, delivering both physical and Level II technical assistance. The role emphasizes customer interaction, reliability, and adherence to Flexential standards for cabling, safety, and documentation.

The candidate will work in a demanding data center environment, troubleshooting issues, maintaining security procedures, and supporting hardware installations under supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-focused mindset and ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written).
• Understanding of Windows operating systems and basic IT concepts.
• Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and alarms in a data center setting.
• Perform physical security walkthroughs and manage sign-in/badging procedures.
• Document work performed and update timesheets and ticket systems.
• Follow cabling and safety standards and assist with hardware installations as directed.
