Job summary

Flexential is hiring a Data Center Technician I in the Norcross, GA area to provide physical and Level II support for customers and resources. You will handle hardware installations, cabling, security procedures, and ticket updates while maintaining a clean, organized data center environment.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work on varied shifts in a fast-paced data center. Prior IT/Data Center exposure is preferred, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Customer experience focus with strong communication.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced data center environment.
• Ability to respond to critical infrastructure emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with prompt responses to calls and emails.
• Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues and alarms with Flexential infrastructure.
• Follow ERP processes and escalate to engineering as needed.
• Perform security sign-in procedures and escort visitors to designated work locations while enforcing security standards.
• Document time spent on tasks and support cases, including installations and outages.
• Ensure accurate entry of labor on timesheets and timely submissions.
• Follow cabling standards and document work in ServiceNow and other systems.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and inventory of tools and equipment.
• Install hardware in cabinets according to best practices and test cabling.
