Flexential is seeking a Data Center Technician I to provide physical and Level II technical support in a 24x7x365 environment in Norcross, GA. You will handle cabling, hardware installs, and security procedures while maintaining SLAs and documenting tasks.

Ideal candidates will have Windows OS knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work varied shifts. This role offers walk-in customer interaction and aligns with Flexential infrastructure standards.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Self-starter, reliable and dependable.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong attention to detail, making and keeping commitments and meeting deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-4 years of experience working within an IT or Data Center Support environment.
• Running Cable/Climbing Ladders.
• Effectively respond to critical infrastructure emergencies.
• Network/Power Monitoring.

Responsabilités

• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships by prioritizing satisfaction and professionalism; respond to customer phone calls and emails promptly and effectively.
• Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues and alarms with Flexential Infrastructure.
• Follow ERP processes and escalate to engineering staff as needed.
• Perform physical security walkthroughs and manage sign-in/badges for customers and visitors.
• Track and document time spent on tasks and support cases including installations and outages.
• Ensure accurate entry of Cap Labor on timesheets and timely submission of timesheets.
• Follow Flexential Cabling Standards.
• Execute standard operational tasks including auditing, documentation, and report completion.
• Follow instructions for hardware installations and service tickets in Systems like ServiceNow.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and inventory of tools and equipment.
• Work on hardware upgrade/replacement requests.
• Identify information in complex requests as outlined by remote hands product.
• Perform maintenance/tasks under guidance from a coordinator.
• Identify physical layer problems by testing cables and components.
• Install hardware in cabinets following best practices.
• Understand OpsDB functionality and document power in cabinets.
• Order PDUs, cable, and cabinets as needed.
• Install, label, terminate, test and troubleshoot cabling.
• Document CLX entries and follow safety/fiber protocols.
• Read LOA verifications and support safety/emergency readiness.
• Maintain SLA across tasks and handoffs for continuity.
• Learn and apply Technical Operations best practices.
• Demonstrate reliability and flexibility in 24x7x365 operations.
