Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to implement and maintain AWS global infrastructure. You will diagnose hardware and network issues, perform on-site repairs, and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure high availability of services.

You will join a diverse team across hardware, software, and network engineers and supply chain specialists. The role requires travel to data center sites and shifts that cover days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional/military experience in IT-related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix across components.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents affecting service availability.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance/change management.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and onboarding new team members.
