Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to help maintain AWS global infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted data center operations.

You will perform hardware and network diagnostics, execute repairs, and participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 availability. Join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, contributing to safe, reliable operations across AWS data centers while following rigorous safety and security standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix on components, troubleshooting network issues and responding to incidents to maintain AWS service availability.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Take on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on analysis of operational issues.
• Assist in interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
