Job summary

Amazon in Wink, Texas is seeking a Data Center Technician to help maintain AWS infrastructure. You will perform server hardware diagnostics, rack installations, and network troubleshooting, and participate in on-call rotations to keep services available.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hardware and networking, a IT-related degree, and readiness to travel between data center sites. This role requires physical work and shift coverage including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix.
• Troubleshooting network issues and responding to incidents.
• On-call duties and change management participation.
• Documenting issues and process improvements.
• Interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
