Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician in Wink, TX to support 24/7 data center operations. This role involves server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and rapid response to incidents to maintain service availability. Travel to multiple facilities is possible as needed.

You will handle on-call duties, work with engineers, vendors, and contractors, and participate in maintenance and documentation efforts. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to incidents impacting service availability.
• Escalate incidents to senior technicians and management as needed.
• Serve as primary contact point for engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance, change management, and on-call duties.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on operational analysis.
• Help train and onboard new team members.
