Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Technician for the Wink, TX area to support AWS data centers. This role involves installing equipment, repairing hardware, and troubleshooting network issues in a 24/7 environment.

You will collaborate with engineers, software teams, and vendors to keep data center operations running smoothly. The position requires travel between data center sites, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and willingness to work extended shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders including engineers and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
