Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to help operate and maintain AWS global infrastructure in our Sparks, NV facilities.

You will perform server rack installations, hardware repair, and network troubleshooting to ensure high availability of cloud services powering millions of customers. Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Flex schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required
• Serving as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues
• Helping to train and onboard new team members
