Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to support global cloud infrastructure in our SF area data centers. The role involves installing equipment, hardware repair, network troubleshooting, and managing operational incidents in a 24/7 environment.

You’ll work independently and with a team, travel between data center sites, and contribute to documentation and process improvements while ensuring service availability and security policies are followed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on components; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders including engineers and vendors.
• Create documentation and participate in process improvements; train and onboard new team members.
