Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a results-driven Data Center Operations Manager in New Albany, Ohio to build and lead a high-performing team focused on reliability, onboarding, coaching, and workforce planning. The role emphasizes safety, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver resilient data center services.

You will partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit technicians, guide onboarding, and develop future leaders while managing staffing and ramp-down for large projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data center operations or IT infrastructure
• 4+ years of direct people-management experience
• Proven ability to hire, coach, develop, motivate, and retain technical talent
• Strong workforce planning, demand forecasting, resource allocation, and shift-management skills
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure and hardware lifecycle management
• Experience leading incident response, escalations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and operational discipline
• Data-driven approach to performance management and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and collaboration with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing technical team with trust, inclusion, accountability, safety, and learning
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to hire exceptional data center technicians
• Lead onboarding and early-career development through coaching and mentoring
• Own workforce planning aligning staffing, skills, shifts, and coverage
• Manage ramp-up/ramp-down for large projects with changing requirements
• Drive operational excellence in installation, maintenance, inventory, and documentation
• Champion safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across operations
• Lead incident response with clear communication and root-cause analysis
• Build customer and cross-functional partnerships to ensure reliable data center operations
