Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Business Development Manager in Ellicott City, MD to drive data center services sales across engineering, design, and construction disciplines. The role combines strategic account growth with hands-on hunter activity, traveling as needed and collaborating with internal delivery teams.

You will lead negotiations, build executive-level client relationships, and expand Actalent’s footprint within target hyperscalers, AECs, and utilities, while partnering with Legal, Marketing,

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in sales and new business development, with proven success in engineering services or data center related projects.
• Experience selling to OEMs, AECs, or utilities within data center lifecycle stages.
• Strong ability to align client goals with Actalent capabilities and drive deals to close.

Responsibilities

• Identify new services opportunities within target accounts and align to Actalent’s data center growth strategy.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on engineering, construction management and project outsourcing for data center lifecycle.
• Use consultative selling to increase deal size and move deals up the services value chain.
• Expand current accounts and win new logos by leveraging Actalent’s on/offline capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal partners to address contractual, regulatory, and process requirements for large accounts.
• Demonstrate leadership, relationship building, and executive-level communication to stakeholders.
