Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, test, certify and train customers on security and life-safety systems on assorted projects. The role supports a strong, customer-first culture with opportunities for growth and advancement.

You will work with blueprints and wiring diagrams, perform startup and certification tests, and provide technical support. Travel to local sites is required; a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn in fire alarm/electronic security systems.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with common tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair and service security, fire and life-safety systems or building automation.
• Provide technical support and customer training on assigned projects.
• Interpret manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams for installation and repair.
• Operate and demonstrate systems, commission new installations and perform start-up activities.
• Collaborate with project and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
