Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up and certify security systems. You will train customers and collaborate with project teams on varied projects, from small to large scales.

You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot issues, and support customers to ensure satisfaction. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally are required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 3–5 years relevant field service experience.
• Certifications in product/industry standards preferred.
• Experience with fire alarm and electronic security systems a plus.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, start-up and certify security systems.
• Provide customer training and support.
• Interpret manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; write non-routine programs.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers.
• Travel to local job sites as needed.
