Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify, and train on assigned projects including small or less complex projects. The role supports a dynamic team with growth opportunities as Convergint grows.

You will work with security, fire life safety, and building automation systems, applying electronics knowledge and using standard test instruments and hand tools. Travel locally may be required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required or equivalent.
• Willing to learn fire alarm/electronic security systems.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service security systems and equipment on assigned projects.
• Provide customer training and support; act as main IT interface for basic system operation.
• Coordinate with Project/Operations Manager to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Identify and communicate risks; support continuous improvement efforts.
