Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train on Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects. You will interface with customers, ensure safety and quality, and may mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic, fire alarm, life safety, or building automation industries.
• Ability to install, program, start-up, certify, and train on complex systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams and use test instruments.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems.
• Lead on-site projects with safety, quality, and performance accountability.
• Read complex blueprints and manuals to determine installation requirements.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and collaborate with project managers.
