Job summary

Convergint Technologies is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on assigned projects of varying complexity. You will join a dynamic team that supports growth and a strong culture focused on service and results.

You will read schematics, wire diagrams, and manuals, perform testing and debugging, and collaborate with project managers. Travel to local sites is expected, with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant field service experience.
• Certifications in Product-specific and Industry-specific licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of security and life-safety systems.
• Read blueprints and manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Operate and commission new systems; provide customer training.
• Mentor less experienced staff and coordinate projects with managers.
• Identify risks and assist in cost and schedule control.
• Support engineering in resolving unusual problems.
