Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security, fire alarm, and life-safety systems across varied project sizes. The role involves reading schematics, testing equipment, and collaborating with project teams to ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer focus, solid technical and programming skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while traveling to local sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience with security, fire alarm life-safety, or building automation systems is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and interpret manuals.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of security, fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Interacts with customers and trains them on system operation and maintenance.
• Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Operates and troubleshoots systems and documents performance and commissioning results.
• Maintains strong customer satisfaction and supports post-installation service.
