Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Development Project Manager for Retrofit Data Center Construction to lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities on assigned projects. You will interface daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, and Operations staff to ensure project success from concept through closeout.

The role emphasizes managing budgets, schedules, and entitlements, coordinating with procurement and legal teams, and presenting updates to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for updates and Excel for budgets.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on a campus and maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create and communicate updates on development program & project status for executive reviews.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop a master development program and capital budget.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each site and oversee procurement and cost estimates.
• Establish site construction security procedures and collaborate with security teams.
