Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Virginia seeks a Senior Development Project Manager for Retrofit Data Center Construction to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on multiple campus projects. You will collaborate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents and Data Center Operations staff to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

The role requires managing budgets, schedules and stakeholder updates, developing base-build programs and capital budgets, and handling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates, and Excel for budgets.
• Be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple campus projects with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create and communicate monthly development program & project updates for executive reviews.
• Develop base-build program for site(s) including campus design solution and capital budget.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each site project(s).
• Coordinate with procurement and cost estimation on equipment and services.
• Review pay applications and change order requests from contractors.
