Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our data center team in the United States, working closely with senior project managers on RFPs, proposals, contracts, and coordinating design and construction teams to ensure successful turnover.

Your education and experience will be mentored as you progress toward becoming a Project Manager, with strong emphasis on organization, accountability, and transparency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Construction, or Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components.
• Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) and Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs, solicit proposals, negotiating and managing contracts, coordinating design and construction teams, maintaining project governance.
• Conduct field quality control of the craft trades at site and ensure successful project turnover.
• Mentor in the role toward becoming a Project Manager, developing relationships and leadership.
• Collaborate with senior project managers to support data center projects.
