Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our data center team. The role supports ongoing Data Center projects across the United States and mentors you toward becoming a Project Manager.

You will work side-by-side with senior project managers, preparing RFPs, soliciting proposals, negotiating contracts, coordinating design and construction teams, and ensuring governance and successful turnover of complex programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, Construction, or Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre‑construction, delivery systems, and components.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers in all aspects of project management.
• Prepare RFPs, solicit proposals, negotiate and manage contracts.
• Coordinate design and construction teams, maintain project governance, conduct field quality control of craft trades at site, and ensure successful project turnover.
• Mentor towards becoming a Project Manager.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering

CMIT and EIT certifications
