Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our data center team in the United States. You will work side-by-side with senior project managers, preparing RFPs, soliciting proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating design and construction teams.

You will be mentored toward becoming a Project Manager, with responsibilities that include governance, field quality control, and successful project turnover, in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction, or engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects.
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components.
• CMIT and Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers in all aspects of project management.
• Prepare RFPs, solicit proposals, negotiate and manage contracts.
• Coordinate design and construction teams and oversee field quality control at site.
• Maintain project governance and ensure successful project turnover.
• Develop relationships and progress toward becoming a Project Manager.
