Job summary

Rackspace Technology in Richardson, TX is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician responsible for IT infrastructure and customer configurations to maintain uptime and security in the data center environment.

You will monitor an internal ticketing system for customer support, perform OS installs, storage and RAID tasks, cabling and network device setup to ensure reliable operation and fast issue resolution for clients.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in a data center environment.
• Ability to build, repair or upgrade hardware components.
• Strong understanding of storage RAID configurations.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead.

Responsibilities

• Monitor an internal ticketing system to provide customer support.
• Troubleshoot storage, perform upgrades and RAID configurations on hardware.
• Install or upgrade server hardware and network devices.
• Complete customer maintenance requests including cabling and cabinet mounting.
